Sounds like you are doing very well in your new city, congratulations on your new apartment, it must be lovely to live in Downtown Vancouver.
I love taking photos, I just got my first DSLR last May, and I am shutter happy. I have a Nikon D40, I am very happy with it, for me a great SLR to start, my daughter has a D60, only difference other than higher cost is more pixels, I hope to be able to buy a Nikon D3000 within the next year.
Sadly I don't think we would be able to spend Christmas in Banff this year, unless the economy miraculously gets better by tomorrow, which seems impossible.
Once again, glad to know you are doing so well, and most of all happy to see that you are back in bloggerland.
